Woops you ain't wrong hahah, guess I'll be seeing grey for a while ๐Ÿ˜…

Not been able to work on it for a couple weeks, but getting back into it!

This is with the completed stitches marked on the ClickStitch app:

Hoping I'll be able to do a not so dull colour next ๐Ÿ˜…

I use Lakeside Needlecraft, I've found that the aida/hoop cost is decent compared to what else I've seen so always gone with them!

Haha, when I started making my own patterns from images, I use FlossCross.com which has the option to export as an fcjson, then I wrote a script to convert it into an Excel doc.

Excel is able to lookup cells by background colour, so I'd find cells with the thread index with the original colour (as in, not ones I've marked as green) in order to find remaining stitches per colour.

Obviously it's a bit clunky so I made ClickStitch!

Thank you for mentioning ClickStitch ๐Ÿ™ I've been using it more often recently for actual stitching (and not developing the app!) and it's really handy to keep track of the stats!

I'm not a regular user of the other apps since I used to just use Excel to mark stitches as complete so these comments are interesting to see how everyone stitches haha

From a few days ago, I've been marking all the completed stitches as I go (using clickstitch.app) and came to around 16%!

Not currently, the idea is to upload a pattern based on the exported data from FlossCross or WinStitch (see here). It would be nice to upload PDFs though!

Heyo, another update for the project I've been working on.

ClickStitch is a webapp that allows you to track cross-stitching progress, manage your skein inventory and generally makes cross-stitching more efficient!

You can now select an individual thread to be highlighted! Other threads will be faded out so you can focus on the one you want to stitch.

Visit clickstitch.app to try it out!

Feedback on bugs and features is always welcome! โค๏ธ

Thanks, let me know how it goes!

Hello everyone! I have another update to https://clickstitch.app that will aim to enhance how you manage your cross-stitch inventory.

The inventory page finally displays the colour of the thread! They are also searchable by their code or brand (currently DMC and Anchor threads are available):

The inventory page, listing a few colourful skeins

However, the biggest change is the project page. Navigate to any project in your dashboard and the app will calculate how many skeins are required for it and warn you if you are missing any:

A project will various threads that may be missing or not

Just make sure you have enough of the relevant skeins in your inventory and you're good to go!

Feedback on bugs and features is always welcome! โค๏ธ

Thanks! And thanks for the feedback, defo something I need to think about since it's possibly quite involved. There is already a creator dashboard available so I've tried to make it as simple as possible, hopefully time will tell when/if people start using it!

Hmm, it's definitely up now and I've seen a few signups already. Give it a hard refresh and see if that works, if it persists give me a DM and we can troubleshoot

Sods law, the hosting provider I use is having a power cut in their datacentre, so all servers are down at the moment! Please try again tommorrow sorry!

Hey guys, a while ago I posted about getting some ideas for an app to help track cross-stitching progress.

Appreciate all your ideas, I've added some of them as new features and I'm super happy to release v1.0 today!

View it here: https://clickstitch.app

Some notable features:

  1. Track Progress - Highlight completed stitches and view analytics of your progression

  2. Manage Inventory - Record your floss, make sure you never run out before starting a new project

  3. Multi-Device - Patterns are securely stored online, so continue stitching everywhere you go

No need to install anything, all you need to do is create an account and upload your first pattern!

If you want to contact me, feel free to DM on here or on Instagram: https://instagram.com/clickstitchstudio

As always, feedback on bugs and features is always welcome! โค๏ธ

I see what you mean, I think what you're describing is pretty much what I used to do in Excel where you can search cells for a particular background colour and you could jump between them.

That's an awesome suggestion, so I'll definitely look into adding that!

Thanks I'll check it out! I've seen a couple of mobile apps like this, but wanted to create something that was cross platform. The one you mentioned looks really cool though so I'll definitely be taking a look!

TLDR: clickstitch.app - suggestions and feedback would be amazing!

Hey guys, as the title suggests I've been working on a cross-stitching app project the last couple months.

The idea behind it is to mark stitches as complete as you go, then it will give you an idea of how much progress you have made (stitches complete, stitches remaining, % complete).

Currently, there are a few patterns that are supported but I'm assuming most of you would want to load your own, so let me know if this is true!

I'm also thinking a method of also tracking the threads you currently own and whether you have the needed colours/amounts for new projects.

Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions! Thanks all!
