I think they’re still in the middle of making the fourth Psych movie.

I’m absolutely loving “What We Do In The Shadows”

Older shows I still rewatch include Community and Psych. Both are absolutely extraordinary.

I have also fallen out of fandom for SW. I love the original trilogy and I really loved Rebels, but they’re squeezing the franchise to death milking every penny out of it they can. And, in doing so, they’re diluting and de-flavoring something that was once special and awesome, into just another consumerized product.

It’s started to happen to Marvel, too, with all the special interest pandering - not to diminish those special interests because they’re important, but do it in a way that’s not at the expense of quality, and storytelling.

So much of pop culture is being harvested like fucking corn, just squeeze every ounce of value out of it and leave a rotting husk in its wake. They don’t care; they got theirs.

I don’t trust anything about them. Any virtuous incentive people have to grow and maintain and moderate the fediverse is lost on anyone with any affiliation to Facebook. They have one goal and that’s money. Anything and everything they do and can do will always be for that.

For this reason, I would never want to be connected to their services and any federated service like Lemmy that I’m enjoying being a part of - if it should ever connect with Facebook in any way - would be my signal to abandon ship.

Living with disability it would be fun to join a group for a classic style pnp D&D over zoom or something. Anyone have a group looking for an additional player?

On Reddit there were literally bot armies by which thousands of votes could be instantly implemented. It will become a problem if votes have any actual effect.

It’s fine if they’re only there as an indicator, but if the votes are what determine popularity, prioritize visibility, it will become a total shitshow at some point. And it will be rapid. So yeah, better to have a defense system in place asap.

He’s mentally ill there’s no doubt about that. But it makes for good sensationalism so social media loves to just celebrate it.

Fascinating tale! Wow so maybe the bartender didn’t hate anyone just a crotchety guy who’s nevertheless pretty decent at his core.
