That spell Frieren used to break the barrier looked like it veered into sci-fi territory. It was a cool effect.

Yeah those wolves were hard to look at. Though usually bad CGI like that just means there is a complete lack of budget rather than them saving it for something later. I think the only thing we can expect from the series later is more terrible CGI monsters. I'm glad action is not the hook of the show.
All things considered, that huge display of power went better for her than I expected. Rather than turn the country against her in fear, they roll out the red carpet.
How are they making Yumellia's cold calculating self so adorable and funny? This show is better than I expected.
It might just be the first sentence. He focuses on his appearance, so Frieren is more likely to remember what he looked like because it was part of his character traits.
Such a shame to see Sein leave. I look forward to what the payoff of Gorilla's story is going to end up being wherever the group meets up with Sein again.

Another person who picked theirs from a video game. Pick the name you want to give yourself. Don't worry about what other people think and focus on if it makes YOU happy.
The design just looks like Claire from I'm in love with the Villainess. Not that it was a particularly unique design.
Not the best example as the old FMA branched off into anime-only original content for it's second half. So Brotherhood is the only adaptation that covers the entire source.
I'm sure Frieren will meet with him again. Might take a few hundred years to make it happen though.
This section killed me. Sums up my entire high school experience, even though I did not come out until almost 30.
"Even Sam herself starts to wonder if she’s a gay man, because it would definitely explain the queerness she feels all the time. It would also explain why she feels a kinship to the gay community, even though she’s not gay herself. Alas, she was a boy who exclusively liked girls — it didn’t get much more hetero than that."
