So I can backup and move my data as I please. Also means if it's self hosted I can access it from anywhere.

Nextcloud was painfully slow on a cheap HDD based VPS, I finally moved it to SSD and it's been fast. With redis and SSD its quick. I'd take a look at your system to make sure that's not the cause.

And if JF won't work for you, Emby is pretty decent as well.

It's no different than NGiNX, put in your config and it just works.

I have a VPS with NGiNX and tailscale to get stuff thru a NAT.

I would use cloudflare and terraform to be honest, but bind would work just fine. You'd be able to keep all configs in git and have a pipeline deploy to the server and reload.

That's great. My only complaint is it only runs on windows, but oh well. I'm assuming you guys are using Windows server?

If you delete a file you're charged for 90 days regardless of how long that file was there.

I second this. And if you don't use CF they now allow 3x downloads. Don't use wasabi since they have that 90 day retention policy.

Acme.sh can run a script after SSL cert updates. And it's nice since it's just bash.
