thanks for the effort write-up, I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how this works beyond its just magic

I did a fresh install of ubuntu server, enabled KVM/virtualization stuff in BIOS and its confirmed working. Then I installed cockpit using the main official method for my OS. I can do the guided VM install and have their OS's installed via the internet and working correctly within the VNC. For some reason when I choose the local ISO option I'm unable to view my local files and access my Lubuntu iso. It just appears as a / and I can't select anything further. I've seen through videos that I could be able to access my files through there

Here is a read out of some errors in the cockpit log. Any idea how I fix this? This is my first time messing with KVMs, is there a better manager than cockpit?

just chip away at it, I'm slowly learning SWAG/reverse proxy. Its complicated for me but its rewarding and eventually becomes easy. Such is the way with linux from my experience

noob question but would I be able to install this on a free-tier VPS and use it to manage content on a seedbox (without root access) and services on my local network?

Get debian or ubuntu server, you can install docker within the Ubuntu install these days. Learn how to install portainer (very simple) -- then install this portainer template which will allow you to pretty much 1 click install all the apps you see on this sub

lmao I actually did read the notes first before I commented, funnily enough. Thanks for the reply and thank you so much for Kavita. I'm sure the mobile app is brought up constantly to you and is a source of friction. Have a great weekend!

I did read the notes actually, after going back now there is 1 brief mention of it so you'll have to excuse me for missing that. Just to reiterate, I don't read comic books or manga so I'm not going to buy a cbr reader to read my books.

I love Kavita, I just wish it had an Android app for page synchronization
