I think they’re really a Masochist group: forcing change from within, in the most painful way

Image Transcription:

X/Twitter post by user Greg Abbott @GregAbbott_TX reading: "The 2028 @GOPConvention is coming to Houston.

Welcome to Texas!

Texas is the heart of the conservative movement.

Together, we'll secure Republican victories up and down the ballot to chart a brighter course for our party and our nation." Accompanied by an image of the Texan skyline with the text "Welcome to Texas! 2028 Republican National Convention" over it, below that is "Abbott" in smaller text and "governor" in smaller text again. To the right of the smaller text is the elephant logo of the American Republican party in red. User Richard Grenell @RichardGrenell has replied to the post with the text: "The Texas Republican Party bans Logcabin, the gay conservative group with 80 chapters across the US.

Texas is the only state that bans us from their state convention.

The national GOP Convention shouldn't be in Texas if this ban remains.

@GOPChairwoman @tedcruz @JohnCornyn"

Is log cabin banned from attending the national convention because it's in Texas, or just banned from attending the GOP state convention?

My bet is on that they're homophobic and the excuse doesn't matter for the ban lol
