The music and the game are underrated. I've played its SNES version, it's a really good adventure; being able to mix-and-match your critter's parts gives it a fair bit of depth, as you need to develop viable strategies. I wish that it had a spiritual successor, in the same "spirit" of the older game, but better (like Thrive is becoming for Spore).
I'm almost sure that this song is from Gaia is talking with the MC. It's soothing; and frankly damn great.
