New traditional table-top game mechanics ! I really want to see a DLC centered around mixing poker and chess personally. Not completely sure how it would work, but think of the possibilities !

Maybe a PvP balatro format where you have a chess deck (King, Queen, 2 bishops/rooks/knights, and 8 pawns of each suit) and a card capture mechanic is added somehow ? You win when you capture all of your opponent's Kings
Card themes is a pretty good idea.
I like the spectral cards that sacrifice something for great power. I think there should be spectrals that take it to the extreme (maybe themed red instead of blue). Some examples: -Up the ante by 1 but gain 3 random eternal negative jokers -Destroy your deck -Gain a cursed and a blessed joker. (Cursed is a negative eternal joker with a bad effect and blessed is just a really powerful joker) -Destroy all your vouchers, gain a random new one and 10$ for each destroyed. -Destroy all your face cards, add 4 eternal jacks to your deck (cannot be destoyed/removed). Playing the 4 of them in one hand would be a new hand type called 4 horsemen of the apocalypse with base 4444x44 value.
I'd also like a joker that multiplies chips (ie. 2x CHIPS) and a joker that gives the plasma deck effect. Maybe also a joker that becomes more powerful based on your best played hand so far in the run?
My fun idea is being able to beat Orange Stake for the first time using the checkered deck!
I've been trying since before the latest big beta changes, and I switched over to the beta build to try beating it with the new temporary jokers instead of overpriced packs, and I still can't beat it! 😓
For context, I must have failed at least 30 runs on Orange Stake by now
I only beat black stake with the black deck recently, on the beta build. I'm way too greedy for endless builds so I lose a lot of runs... but that one went up to ante 18 (best score was in the e32).
Worth it.
