I love the idea that it wasn't planned like the guy just wanted to be safe and blasted the crab
I thought they were shooting a cucumber out of their ass as a projectile.
Oh I'm certain no-one will use this template in a more immature way
I don't think it can get any more graphic than eviscerating yourself and covering your oponent with your own guts!
(Some sea cucumbers do this, others produce a sticky substance specifically for this purpose.)

It's both, IIRC depends on the species but some have those creepy noodly things to eat and some eject stringy viscera to distract the predator and skedaddle.
