MSI Boosts Gaming Performance By Up To 12% With New "High-Efficiency" Memory Mode on AM5 Motherboards (wccftech.com)

With its latest AMD AGESA 1.0.0.7c BIOS firmware, MSI is introducing a new memory tuning setting known as "High-Efficiency" mode. This new feature supports pre-configured memory profiles for a set of popular modules on the market, offering higher bandwidth and lower latency through a set of optimizations. These optimizations mainly come from fine-tuned DDR5 DRAM timings and there are four "Memory Timing Presets" that are available for users to try out at any given time including Tightest, Tighter, Balance & Relax.

Cool.

My B650 Tomahawk still takes ~45-118 seconds unfortunately at loading firmware stage.

My x570 Tomahawk boots to desktop in like 9 seconds on my 5950x build.

Sorta fun because it feels like booting a 2000s PC with hard drive or dial up modem :/

Anyway I'd totally not recommend this motherboard because of this issue.

From everything I've seen since, i'm glad I pulled the trigger on discounted 5950x instead of waiting for next gen. 7950x3D is a really cool premise but constantly looks like it looks like the platform would annoy the hell out of me.

Yikes! That's ridiculous.

I ended up with an Asus AM5 board because of a sale, but it boots in about 15-20 seconds after the first initial training boot. That first boot though -- I thought it was dead.
