Hi fellow bowel fighters!

Stress is a crucial factor to managing the deasese. I'm sick on CU for 9 years and I didn't yet found good, fast and easy methods to lower the stress levels. I'm not looking for substances as I get easily addicted.

When I can, I'm exercising with bands and riding a bicycle but during flare it's not possible. Playing computer games helps a bit.

What are your ways of cooling down and resting from problems?

plastic model kits. the focus of cutting out tiny parts is distracting and working on a kit doesn’t take more than an evening. Completing one makes me feel like i accomplished something on a day where i feel too cruddy to accomplish anything else. though some say plastic model kits can be addicting :P

That's what my father does in his free time. Sounds like a good idea!

I started playing the guitar, the act of needing to use both hands, my eyes and mouth (when singing) puts me in the now and removes all the bullshit. Maybe an instrument might work for you.

I've always wanted to play the guitar but instead I was practicing on Djembe and Drumla. I think that since I'm living in a flat right now, a guitar with headphones would be perfect. Thank you for this suggestion

Those beaters are great stress relief too, but the apartment may hinder your efforts. I used to have a great doumbek and I will get another one someday.
