NSFW Posts like this are not uncommon to see on the sidebar and are disruptive and annoying.

For context, I already blocked both the /m/random magazine as well as the person posting this content (to their own microblog), yet the sidebar can still show this post and thumbnail.

@RealM

just kinda feel like this is a bigger issue than people realize for the moment

It is.

That's crazy, @ernest should consider solving this issue. For sure we can use uBlock Origin, but for the average user who may not know this method unless someone tells them, this can put them off.

I would like to be able to turn off Random Magazines, Random Posts, and "turn on" Magazines I'm subscribed to on the sidebar. All of these as user options would be great.

I know there's a lot of work going on and I know all of these items come up fairly regularly, I'm relatively sure they'll be addressed in due course.

I blocked the random posts section of the sidebar entirely using uBlock Origin today. Much better experience.

@atocci Yep, I wound up doing the same thing awhile back.

Yeah, seems to be the go-to solution for now.

@RealM FYI the latest release of kbin KES can block various sidebar elements
