Am I just dumb or does this happen for other people?

Alright I finally got rid of Chrome and I'm using the pure untouched Firefox. At first my post hung when trying to post, so I turned off the tracking protection and then it worked. Firefox is a good browser, at least on desktop.

I haven't experienced this. What browser are your using? Is this on a computer or mobile?

Kubuntu desktop with latest Firefox snap package. If this persists, I'll try Edge or Chrome and let you know the results.

Honestly I switched away from the Firefox snap as it was just not running that great. I can't remember exactly how but google will help, basically uninstall firefox snap and install it from another source (I used the gnome software centre but I guess that's not available on kbuntu - might be another though).

This seems to be the best guide and the page was updated August 2023. But, I don't think I'll switch because websites load fine. Facebook and Reddit are really slow but I plan to delete those accounts. Everything else works well.

It was a bit annoying to switch all my open tabs over but otherwise pretty easy change. The snap version was freezing for me a lot but the one installed through the gnome store hasn't frozen at all.
