Enough Musk Spam

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

Remember kids, when it comes to embracing right wing ideology; not even once.

Instant brain death.

Even if I got called a literal fascist bigot for some opinions here, I do agree that a sizeable number of your political right is stupid. Like, how can such a huge number of them support Trump after all that happened?

It's a question the rest of us have been asking since 2016

Nah I understand why he was supported in 2016 (he basically was new to presidency) but it's baffling that people still support him after leaving office in such a childish way for someone who literally is a grandpa

The guy was a known sketchy dude since the 80s. No excuses are valid to me today. If you do so little research in your presidential candidates that you “didn’t know”, why are you even voting for a president?

i cant agree with this. the only ones who wanted trump in office either would gain financially or were flat out brainwashed into ignoring this pedophilic rapist shitheads actual, documented behavior.

theres really no excuse but ignorance, malice or greed. pick one. this pathetic waste of human flesh was well known as slime by anyone who cared to know well before he was elected.

It's easy when you care more about "owning the libs" than you do improving your community

Shrewd move on the author's part. Miles Klee can't be fired now. Forever employed updating an endless list of media's favorite falsehoods.

[–] originalucifer@kbin.social 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

not really a falsehood if youre just directly quoting someone as stating they are going to do something, and then pointing out that that thing did not happen.

i think its called "reporting"

[–] uphillbothways@kbin.social 0 points 1 year ago

correct. the falsehoods are everything that is said/typed/thought by the subject of the article... the author is reporting the falsehoods that I was referring to. Yes.

Not to mention of some of the other vaporware products from this space cadet, the Tesla-bot, robotaxi, cyber truck, solar roof tiles, etc…

is...is that a profile picture of elon musk in front of oppenheimer's shadow?

[–] MeDuViNoX@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be his nose growing like Pinocchio.

[–] Nythos@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

He’s asking if it’s Oppenheimer because he was Jewish and it’s a typical dog whistle to portray Jews as big nosed

what? i know it's Pinocchio, i was joking that the shadow looks like it could be someone wearing a fedora
