He's not just a billionaire... he's a rich billionaire.

This reminds me of Metallica in Some Kind of Monster. Really rich people can have mental health and addictions problems. They also have enough fucking money to get better and can stay aware from shit. “I couldn’t walk because I was in surgery” well you probably shouldn’t have been fucking driving either you own a goddamn sports team how is any targeting hurting you

That is something I thought about. Regardless of your socioeconomic status, we can all struggle with addition, substance abuse, mental health, trama, etc. But when you have all the money in the world, you don't have to drive yourself, or really do anything for yourself. He could pay for all the treatment, all the recovery, etc.

I'm guessing this has more to do with "I do whatever I want" and "I'm used to paying people off that get in my way"

Some Kind of Monster is one of my favorite documentaries because of this exact insight. I will never judge a rich person poorly for suffering from the same things we all do. Even at the peak, you can be depressed just like me. I think how you respond to those problems is what really matters. With more money than God, you have the ability to actually hit all the major things that enable addiction and hurt mental health. It’s still tough, just like it is for everyone.

I don’t think James Hetfield or this dude responded maturely. I judge them harder for that than I would an unhoused drug addict because they’re choosing to be walnuts about it. I just watched a documentary the other day where some dude had been through some serious shit, fought addiction, and now preaches. He has the stupidest fucking positions and a closet full of meme shirts. But he changed himself and his response is to go help people. He has fuck all for resources and he’s been kicked harder than this billionaire ever has. That’s how you respond well.

I wish we lived in a world where you could get arrested for being a white billionaire.

Definition of "when all you've known is privilege, equality feels like oppression."

Can we get a GoFundMe going for this poor guy. Nobody should have to go through what he has gone through. Must be tough to be him.

Some people can't afford eat, some have health issues, but then you have people with real issues, like Jim being a white billionaire, things he can't even control. People like Jim need our sympathy, not these cancer patients etc with these small issues compared to his struggles.
