The first game was great but I got it at a steep discount. I have fully intended on getting the sequel but I wasn’t running out to get it at full price with so many games still in my backlog

Mario + rabbids had no right being as good as it was. It's cool its getting a bit more notice.
These people and their definition of "flop" perplexes me.
It's what happens when the only people calling the shots are the ones whose personal payment directly scales with "over-success". Anything that just makes money or just does well is a "failure".
It is a great game
I also enjoyed playing it.
because it released in between Splatoon 3 and Pokemon Scarlet/Violet (and to a lesser extent, Bayonetta 3.)
Ubisoft did what EA did with Titanfall 2 (Titanfall 2 was released inbetween Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare.
it was primed to fail at the start., just to make "holiday targets"
My heart breaks every time I'm reminded of how much EA dropped the ball with Titanfall 2 :(
Hey just curious, did you like burn cards?
I thought I hated them, but after playing like a hundred hours of titanfall 2 I’m finding that I actually really miss the little complexity they added to individual games. My FOMO brain was constantly worried I’d be hurting for specific bonuses, but they were passed out like fucken candy and I remember almost always having every option I could want.
That timeframe was actually picked by Respawn higher ups. Jason Schrier mentioned it on his Twitter few years ago.
Rayman my beloved
Mario with guns though
And after UbiSoft's comments the other day, I'll be getting it on ebay.
I really liked the first one, never finished it though because it just kept going. Bit repetitive and other than the main gameplay I don't know what's going on.
I got it at launch and liked it well enough, but not as much as the first one.
Maybe if Nintendo's greedy ass didn't charge full price for it a year later it would probably sell even better.
Nintendo isn't the publisher and it's actually gone on sale several times.
