Got thoroughly toasted outside and am rather dehydrated and tired now, but managed to get some decent gardening done πͺ Rejuvenated some rather dry potting mix, planted out the basil seedlings, repotted a rootbound kniphofia and a last-chance dwarf lemon (why do I have NO luck with dwarf lemons π), sowed a bunch of seeds... tomorrow I'll repot the curry leaf plants, set up the new large rectangular planter box with fresh soil (my back is already aching at the thought), and try to settle on a new arrangement of all the plants with the limited space I have. The manzano chilli plant is big enough that it's hard to find a semi-shade location for it over summer, so may need to get creative and/or prune judiciously.
I also really need to find out how to keep the snails off my balcony pots for real. They're the bastards making it hard to grow anything from seed... especially beloved sunflowers. Any tips gratefully received. I've read that the typical barrier tape sold in garden shops isn't very effective so have ordered some EMI copper tape off ebay.
e: gonna start reading the Silo e-books now since I can't stop wondering what happened after the end of season 1. and I hear it's much better than the show anyway
I go out at night with a torch and catch the snails.
The problem with bunnings gastropod tape is it's copper coloured and does fuck all. The layer is too thin to provoke the galvanic reaction. You want to find a decent garden shop, preferably one with a website that's from the 90's to get the good stuff.
For people who drove in the 90s were people as cunty on the roads as they are today? Honestly we need a cunt road tax.
An individual will be subject to a gut punch for every act of cuntery on the road.
Some suburbs were worse than others.
the suburbs with bmws
There was still cunty behaviour yes not as many as there is today but there's a lot more cars on the road these days.
New packet of shredded cheese is moldy, so I guess weβre gonna see how feta goes in a βleftoversβ slice.
Did a 3 hour bike ride today. Had cheap Thai food for dinner. Now chillin n illin
fresh mango has been eaten, storm clouds are moving in
Coming in from Mildura... Guess it'll be a humid night again.
Must make sure I get up early enough tomorrow to finish the rest of my gardening before the rain hits...
Hey @Duenan@aussie.zone not a good pick for you tonight buddy.
Tomorrow Heat vs Hurricanes. I pick the Heat. Good luck!
