I can tell it’s going to be a slow week heading into a long holiday weekend. And I’m all for that.

Same here! I've helped exactly zero customers all day today and that's exactly how I like it

Same. Best non-vacation week of the year for me.

I took some time off to see fams last week. It was so nice. We made art, played games, cooked food, and talked a lot.

Back at work this week is our in office week. I don’t like coming in to work but at least our carpool is always fun. I heard a very terrible and nasty rumor that next year we will be back in office full time. I sure hope not because I was just starting to feel comfortable in this job.

I had a promising second date lined up on Wednesday, which got rescheduled to Friday because she wasn't feeling well on Wednesday, and then cancelled on Friday afternoon because she tested positive for COVID.

I drove 7h to visit my parents for a few weeks yesterday and realized last night that I forgot the charging cables for my laptops (work and personal) at my place. Had to order new ones on Amazon and need to budget my laptop battery until they arrive :/

I rescheduled the date to be a video call/online gaming date tonight. I just hope my parents' wifi can handle it 😅

Awww, that sounds sweet. Tell us how it goes!

It just finished. I think it went really well. We didn't even end up playing video games, we just talked for like 4 hours straight. We got to know a lot about each other and shared some kind of vulnerable/personal stories which felt nice and supportive.

That sounded really great! Hope it works out well.

Me too! I've never been in a serious relationship before and so it's very exciting to have such a promising start.

Been feeling less and less motivated at work life lately. Its not great but its reasonable work. The dissatisfaction seems to have taken root and growing. On the other hand, most other parts of life feels good now. Work is just one part of life and I probably should be content about where I am overall.

Maybe its as they say, the key the happiness lies within yourself.

I watched a Christmas movie with a few friends the other day, as we were hangover.

It's pretty funny when you look at it to see how many cliches they can fit

I’m going in for 3 dentist visits this week to fix a ton of stuff I neglected for years. It’s overwhelming (and expensive), but I gotta do it to save what’s left and prevent it from getting worse.

It's starting to rain in Los Angeles :0

By the way, what general part of the world are y'all from?

[–] Blaze@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 10 months ago

I think it's a mix between Europe, North America and Oceania, based on a question a few days ago from a Ask communiy. You can open a thread if you are really curious

Had a crazy dream last night where I mortally wounded my partner with a circuit board. It was like a nerd-mare!

I feel like rhyming slang is something the British made up to prank the rest of the world
