You’re

How does stuff like this make it out the door?

[–] ezchili@iusearchlinux.fyi 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

They used "you are" throughout it all except for that one, should've stuck with it :')

[–] Mothra@mander.xyz 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

No... It's supposed to be "your"

If he kept using "you are" instead of allowing himself just that one contraction do you think he'd have gone with "you are hands and legs"?

[–] Mothra@mander.xyz 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

They should have said your hands and legs? Not you're, not you are. My point all along. Are you sure you meant to reply to me?

  • Guy is unsure whether to use "you're" or "your"
  • Plays it safe by never using contractions
  • Uses "you are" for all his comic
  • Allows himself one lil "you're"
  • fucks it up

They used “you are” throughout it all except for that one, should’ve stuck with it :')

Similar to the "open door" idea in stoicism. I.e. you always have a choice, your choices might just be terrible. (The open door in the original story is a metaphor for suicide, because even that is always n option, its just almost always a worse option than whatever else)

Obligatory question..., which is the first best thing then? Lemmy?
