I think we've maybe failed as a society if a picture of Earth from Mars is on mildly interesting...
Mildly Interesting
This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.
This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

I actually think it's a sign of success, at least in one realm. We've been taking pictures of Earth from Mars for decades now. That it's a common enough thing that it could maybe be "mildly interesting" is an achievement.
I could see that, I just worry that leads to complacency rather than a broader interest. Of course we don't have much history for this to grow from yet!
In order to fail, you first have to achieve something .... and in terms of the wider universe and our planet ... humanity has only just started
Does our atmosphere magnify things slightly? Seems brighter on Earth
probably just differences in cameras, lenses and exposure times
