Why don't game devs just sell the game directly to the user? Do people really need stores like Steam for advertising? When you or your friends discover a game is it via Steam's homepage or is it from a random advertisement, streamer etc I'm just really confused on why Steam is needed. People don't need to buy games directly from the PS store and people still find play station games pretty easily. I don't get it.
