I tried to play, but my Rockstar link to steam is locked behind an email I deleted 10 years ago. The only way to make it work is to log into the old account and change the email, but 2FA requires access to the old email. Which doesn't exist. Even support can't make the change without access to the non-existent email. It's a perfect catch 22 and literally unplayable.

I'd be one of them but damned if I can get it working on the steam deck. There's a process around with over 70 steps to follow, but so far I haven't had the time or inclination to do so. It's the only real failure the deck has had for me.
That's strange. I was able to install and play with no configuration on my steam deck.
Yeah same I just had to login to the shitty Rockstar app
You literally install it through steam and press play. 0 clue what you're referring to.
Yeah thanks, that's really helpful. Like I didn't do that in the first place.
Have you tried turning it on and off?
If anyone cares I eventually got it to work by dropping back to the desktop, starting Steam there and reinstalling. Who knew?
You never know with computers, glad it worked out for you and good that you shared how eventually.
