Joga bonito... more like joga finito this brazilian team is hard to watch

[–] aronmarek@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Next time try beating your own players, maybe they'll become better at football

[–] JeromeVenkman@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Did Argentina just qualify for something? Why they celebrating so hard?

[–] kirbag@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This is what happens when you don't bring Anvisa to the game.

[–] zereg@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Así es el futbol champán?

[–] justaredditor239@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Missed the match. How did Messi play?

[–] san771@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Brazil are such a boring soulless team without Neymar

[–] TheBrownMamba8@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Least aggressive CONMEBOL match

[–] flyingfreak66@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ref ruined an already terrible match

[–] KidGoku1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Awful match. I think Argentina are going through a clear dip in form and even as bad as Brazil was they should have won this one imo.

If Scaloni retires big yikes Messi might follow him. He is the perfect coach for this squad.

[–] gugache@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Can you imagine getting the shit kicked out of you only to end up watching that crap?

[–] limito1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What a terrible, terrible match.

I'm not even going to say a thinf about Rio police and authorities because that's their norm.

Why the fuck did Argentina play to hold a draw? It seemed like they could easily beat us by waaaay more if they tried. It's like they are not aware of the situation they are in.

Brazil has fallen off a cliff. Can't create chances, can't place a shot near the goal. Raphinha and Emerson Royal are unable to take the right option whenever they have to make a decision.

I don't even want to look at fouls. At some point we were with 13 combined fouls in 20 or so minutes, we were overagressive with absolutely no need and they reacted whenever they got a chance. Ref scared of giving yellow cards to put a break on the violence.

And last thing, CBF Masterclass as always. Act like they don't have anything to do with the organization of the match, not a single person from the board appears to help with the situation. But what can we expect? Our last presidents were jailed, unable to leave the country or will be jailed too, taken out of office because he brought dog food to his female assistant and now we are stuck with a guy that doesn't show up to the biggest qualifier game against our biggest rival in our biggest stadium in one of our worst moments and believes that Ancelloti is leaving Real Madrid to clean this mess.

All in all, everything is wrong. And anyone that cares about never losing at home has to wake up. We conceded 23 shots to Colombia. We drew Venezuela at home. We lost to 3 african teams in less than a year. We are trash.

As a neutral.. only 6 extra minutes is insane

[–] ThemosttrustedFries@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Rarely Messi get substituted in important games. Did he get injured or was he ill?

[–] lastonepick@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

1st ever defeat for Brazil playing home in qualifiers

Edit: disculpa

[–] TheRealLardin@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The Champion of the World + America + Finalissima: 1

Rio De Janeiro Police: 0

[–] exogenesis2@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Last time Brazil struggled in the qualifiers they won the whole thing 🤔

[–] lostdiscoball@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

watching 7-1 again would probably be less painful than watching this brazilian team

[–] GAV17@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Brazilian fans are a disgrace. I know your team is underperforming right now, but only 1 goal behind with 10/15 minutes left on the game and you start to leave?

[–] VectusZ@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Messi was not playing to acore goal because he know the Brazilian were looking for chance to break or injured him hard.

[–] Prodigy097@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Why the fuck did I miss this?

[–] PoliQU@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That final minute summed up Brazil’s performance. A free kick, in your own half. Pass it short into midfield and give the ball away one second later.

Atrocious performance.

[–] No_Glove5486@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

MOTM Dibu imo considering his save legit helped us not go down 1-0. Not saying Otamendi doesn't deserve a MOTM since he also performed well (he saved a goal on the line then scored 1-0) but i feel in this case considering how Brazil were better than us and going for the win that they needed, Dibu was clutch. MOTM for me.

That said, geezus, for the next window considering we play the team we almost always draw in Chile and then Colombia who seem to be finding their mojo once again, yeah, we needed these 3 points badly and also Scaloni has got to rethink on who he calls up for that window so we don't end having a nightmare of a window like this one during his coaching time again.

This Brazil team is absolute horrible and not just because of skills (but absolutely because of skills as well) but they are not in the slightest prepared for competition and it shows. Everyone wants to score, everyone wants to show off their dribbling skills, long passes, long shots when they can't even do the basics.

Neymar is out, brazilian media will never get tired of spamming "will vini and rodrygo step up?" "Who is gonna be the next big name? Vini, Rodrygo, Endrick?" Fuck off with that shit. These dudes probably let it get to their heads, they're all too young, they don't know their teammates well.

They need someone to help make sense out of all this and put their heads in the right direction and who the fuck gets called? Fuckin little legged Diniz. Forget his tactics and his vision of football, dude is the absolute worst option to lead a team full of young and already successful stars. Just look at his face whenever the camera cuts to him and you'll see he's always red angry. You can also hear him many times during the match screaming "CARALHO" and shit while swearing at the players.

Funk this team's massive egos, fuck CBF, fuck Diniz.

[–] Phenomenal_Man@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

First of all, why the hell are these events still being held in Rio, their police is the worst in Brazil (and that's saying a lot), it's unbelievable. About the match, Brasil at least made much better pressure than against Colombia. Other than that, we were shit as always under Diniz, Raphinha was trash all game, the same goes to Jesus. The ref was horrible, but we can't put the defeat on the res card, even if it was unfair, we weren't going to score anyways. Other than that, thank God we won't play again for some months, and I hope Diniz gets fired sooner than later. And I hope all Argentina fans can go home safely, no one deserves what the police did today.

[–] Arantes_@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Would have been fair to cancel this match after the police action in the stands. More reason cancel this one than the last one when ANVISA bureaucrats wanted to puff their chests and make a scene.

Felt to me like Argentina didn't care but could have turned it up if they wanted to. Instead they got a goal on a corner and that was all they needed. Did some typical CONMEBOL shit housing to add to the frustration but that was nothing out of the ordinary.

[–] Otoroblend1976@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

One of the worst games to watch. Half the time players spent flopping and clutching their faces

[–] supplementarytables@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

For those who missed the match, first of all I envy you

But please look up Raphinha's highlights, it was as hilarious as it was infuriating. Bro dribbled himself and fell, gave the ball away to Argentina which led to the corner that led to the goal and almost scored an own goal.

A performance for the ages. I don't know how Varca fans watch him every week lol

[–] redditsuckz99@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Some brasil fans were talking mad greasy in the match thread.

[–] Playful-Hat3710@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I want Diniz to be good but I just don't think he's up to being Brazil manager

[–] pivetta1995@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Diniz is a WEAK COACH/MANAGER. A peddler of delusional dreams. That Libertadores Final with Fluminense against Boca was an accident!

[–] jcald60@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This brazilian generation is absolute garbage.

[–] PesAddict8@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Least controversial CONMEBOL match

[–] Ohmygosh0@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I didnt see the second half. I thought Brazil was better than Argentina first 1st half. Was the second half that bad or are people dramatic?

[–] darthsendic@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Brasil decime qué se siente que te coja Argentina y Uruguay

[–] Quanqiuhua@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Brazil could well have won the match, but they lacked leaders across each line: defense, midfield and attack. After Martinelli's miss following a fantastic run by Gabriel Jesus, it looked like Brazil gradually demoralized and allowed Argentina to get back into the match.

Raphinha and De Paul were the worst players on the field for their teams respectively, but at least De Paul got Joelinton sent off unfairly. Don't think it would have mattered to the end result anyhow. Messi was poor too, but apparently injured and just plain tired.

Hard to say what this match would’ve resulted in with vini and Neymar in the game. But at this poijt the only teams in the world in which I can imagine beating argentina at this point are France and Uruguay.
