Otamendi over Alderweireld is proof it's a load of shit

[–] JacobS12056@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Nicolas goatamendi

[–] BlueLabel19@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Suarez was a madman. That too with that liverpool side. Greatest striker since thierry in my book.

[–] hubson_official@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I'm curious what was De Gea's rating tbh

[–] ANATABAKANA@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Fuchs lmao XD

[–] raysofdavies@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

This team would properly cook

[–] Arqlol@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Now I'm curious what bale was in his last year at Spurs

[–] Agreeable_Peak_7851@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

OTAMENDI? Count the numbers again.

[–] TheGamesGone@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Hazard over Salah is laughable and tells you all you need to know about how seriously these rating based teams should be taken

[–] lm3g16@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Suarez was so good even Aly Cissokho was getting assists

Surely Salah had a better season than Mahrez?

[–] Chris01100001@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Maybe a little controversial but I think this shows that these ratings aren't as reliable for defenders.

Fuchs is the only one who won the league in that season (although Trent and Liverpool were as excellent as most winners in 21/22).

I don't think anyone would have said that Otamendi or Fabianski had the greatest season of any defender or goalkeeper in the last 10 years and most would pick one of Van Dijk's Liverpool seasons rather than his Southampton one.

[–] Jaspertjess@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I also expected van Dijk, but as Liverpool defender. His time at Southampton is often overlooked tho

[–] simpodemayo@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

fabianski in all seriousness was so underrated at his best, what a keeper

[–] AncientSkys@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Kante not being there makes no sense. Gerrard last season at Liverpool was 14/15. He shouldn't even be included on the last decade list.

No Salah is mental

[–] stryfehg11@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

How does Kante not make this team?

[–] xtrasour37@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Hazard > Salah

[–] MrVegosh@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Obviously not objective but that’s still a pretty fair team

[–] Mammyjam@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (2 children)

I spent 3 years trying to tell people Otamendi wasn’t shit

[–] hasbulashmasbula@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Tbf though I don’t think this is the best reference for who the best players actually were, especially for CBs, since certain stats can really boost a player’s rating. For Otamendi in that City side he was the most active/aggressive defender who was also at the center of recycling possession, which led to him leading the team for recovering possession, and I’m pretty sure leading the league for passes completed. Remembering back to that season though, no one really talked about him being one of the best in the world, because although he performed his role incredibly well, it mostly came down to the team and system around him.

My Fabianski :')

Also don't remember Otamendi ever being that good. He was chaotic and a liability in my memory.

[–] PhoenixNightingale90@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I don’t think anything can top 13/14 Suarez.

[–] OkChemical4668@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Excited to see La Liga version of this

[–] redditsuckz99@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Fabianski and fuchs. That was not expected but much respect

[–] MarcusZXR@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Not a single United player. The Glazer effect.

[–] FireLadcouk@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

😆 I wouldn’t be advertising this. Doesn’t do much for their rating system

[–] josh_x444@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I think this goes to show just how bad these ratings are.

[–] WalkingCloud@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I had completely forgotten Fabianski played for the swans

[–] f00tball-is-Life@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

happy seeing an austrian player there!

[–] ProfessionalGreat240@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

That is a sickening team, all in their primes. They'd steamroll everyone like playing FIFA on amateur mode

[–] UmCeterumCenseo@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Not to be that guy, but why is it V.V. Dijk and K. De Bruyne? "Van" and "De" are both prefixes in Dutch

[–] stoneman9284@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Fabianski 🤣

[–] break2n@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I'm a massive Gerrard fan boy but he wasn't even that great that season. He scored a ton of penalties that Suarez was whipping up out of nowhere and got a bunch of typical Stevie G assists but as a DM we were shipping a mega fuck ton of goals and he was getting a lot of critique for it

[–] Schhneck@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Gerrard was great that season, but he can’t sure up the massive defensive cracks we had on his own.

[–] CeleryApprehensive36@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Christian Fuchs in there reminds me of that "i have no idea what im doing here" dog in the lab meme

[–] Sapun14@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Torres was not playing in last 10 years? 🥲

im so old

[–] Atrixer@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Otamendi feels like the odd one out here. It's suprising to see him ahead of Laporte, Dias or Stones from the same team.

I'm not, nor have I ever been a Chelsea fan, but prime Hazard was my all time favourite player to watch. He was magical.

I was intiially suprised to not see United players here, until I realised it's been over 10 year since they won the title, that makes me feel old. Growing up during the 2000's, I couldn't imagine a world where United were not on or around the top. Now they feel leagues below the top teams.

[–] Variousnumber@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Excuse me whilst I cackle at the fact that Van Dijk's best season was as a Saints player.

[–] cidji_hh@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

It's crazy to me how Salah is not even on the list

[–] greg24211@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

2013/14 Suarez was just on a whole other level.

[–] MrDaveMcC@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Fuck yes, a Swansea player in the team

[–] OsisX@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I'm missing Salah, maybe Kompany?

[–] TheArgentineMachine@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I always thought Otamendi struggled at city. I remember a lot of fans on here not rating him

[–] Mick4Audi@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Otamendi 16/17 surprises me, that wasn’t a great season for City

[–] dave1992@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Lack of 17/18 Salah makes zero sense. Greatest individual season after Suarez.

[–] TedTran2001@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Lukasz Fuckinghellski

[–] BrandonNameRecliner@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

You legitimately posted something that says Fabianski is the best premier league keeper ever

Just think about that for a second and then delete this post
