13 novels, 2 novellas, 1 short story in the John Decker thriller series, and I blew through all of them in three days. Those things are like popcorn. In a year I probably won't remember them, but they are a fun way to spend a commute or kill an evening.

Sometimes you just gotta turn your brain off. I love "high brow" literature as much as the next guy but there really is a special kind of comfy feeling that reading an easy to digest book just for the sake of reading brings

I did that with the Dresden files, though not to the same extent. The things are just candy.

I do the same with the laundry files. I think of it as a palate cleanser to fit after books that are “a bit much”
