Do people here not know that other clubs have done it before? Especially funny when it's fans of those clubs who make fun of this.

It isn’t that unusual for teams moving or renovating a stadium to sell their old seats. York City did it a few years ago and the very old wooden seats from the main stand look great. I know a few people who got themselves one or two
Laporta masterclass
They were already doing that
I shit on Barca a lot as a Madrid fan. But I would do naughty unspeakable things for a chair from the old Bernabeu stadium.
90,000 different levers
The idea is actually cool but the prizes are a bit ridiculous
They can make 15 million $ and more if they sell all of the old chairs, that's actually a lot of money
For a regular chair, sure, but this is unique memorabilia. I think it’s pretty cool that they have a variety of styles available. I’d probably grab one if I were a Barça fan.
Yeah, it might be cool but, for the majority of people, it'd become an inconvenience.
Cringe

Which financial lever are we up to?
I’ve been looking for a new gaming chair recently…
Barcelona loves a side hustle
Selling old seats of a stadium is nothing new, this has happened for decades as teams move to new venues or have complete renovations.
It's quitee cool though, imagine you had a season ticket for a few years, it would be fun to have your own seat.
I read a story about a smaller club selling their seats, and a pair that met eachother at the game and married years later bought the specific seats that they met on, so it can have a lot of value.
Anyone else hate seeing Spotify in front of Camp Nou?
Not as bad as "Ligue 1 Uber Eats"
They told all the season ticket holders that we’d be able to buy our seats for a symbolic price (20-30 dollars) since some of these seats have been in the same family since 1957. Really annoying that they’re just making a quick buck
EVERYTHING MUST GO! 😀
Aren't these seats relatively new? The name change is pretty recent.
I have an old seat from the Dell (Southampton’s old stadium) that my dad purchased when it was demolished. Not strange at all imo and honestly pretty cool piece of memorabilia
FYI we did this too.
Memorabilia for fans, funds something else for the club and 80k+ plastic chairs don’t end up in a landfill somewhere. Silly not to really.
Arsenal did this with seats from Highbury, my dad bought two
How did football stadiums go from having names like got castles to being named after airlines
It's much, but it's honest work
Next time they returf, perhaps consider selling individuals blades of grass?
I love making fun of Barca just as much as the next guy but this is pretty normal when a club builds a new stadium. Real Madrid is doing the same thing with their old seats
Fan owned clubs living pay cheque to pay cheque vibes.
They should give them to season ticket holders.
We are massive. Surely we can sell some of Messi's or Laporta's old shirts as well. Maybe the sprinklers too.
People are gonna call this tin pot obviously, but what the hell, better getting money from silly memorabilia than slave labor, war profiteering and the like.
Eh, it's nothing out of the normal when doing reconstruction. Real Madrid are selling the old seats from the Bernabeu.
First the turf, not the seats. Door handles will be next, maybe some of the urinals?? Can anyone say desperate for money? Need some dough to bribe more officials :-)
Ah because Spotify Barcelona was their prime

Barcelona selling their soul what else is new.
When moving house, my mum decided to get rid of a box of stuff that was all sentimental to me. This included my old seat from White Hart Lane which I took home from the final game at the Lane
I was thinking these were like those WWE chairs for ringside at PPVs/Special Events
Another lever unlocked 👌👍
