Well one way to make people stop hating the Super League is to tell people it will hurt the English.
First thing : that looks like a bullshit argument. He uses wealth gap as an excuse but anyone who genuinely is concerned about wealth gap won't think of a Super League as a solution.
Second thing : Is it not the purpose of rules like financial fair-play to prevent those kind of thing to happen ? If it doesn't work, so do better rules.

This is incredibly short sighted and stupid. The fundamental problem is that the social, cultural and economic models we operate under produce monopolies naturally. It's ultimately irrelevant where you arbitrarily insert break points in the data set in order to declare the problem solved. At best you get a temporary reprieve. All you have to do is just wait a little bit and eventually the same environment produces the same results and you will again have monopolistic outcomes where a small subset of participants dominate.
The Superleague wants to replace the Champions League or domestic Leagues? I dont understand how they think will fit.
Same would happen with a Superleague too, unless you make it so that Superleague clubs leave their national leagues altogether. Otherwise PL clubs will keep the financial advantage of having a more popular league worldwide over the rest of the Superleague competition. So say it out loud "we want to end national leagues because the PL is too dominant economically, we want to end the architecture club football has been built on over the past century because someone is doing better than us even though we tried really hard to gain a dominant position with massive tax breaks and loose regulation on debt for decades".

The PL being better is all down to PL teams willing to share more of the revenue with each other. The Spanish league allowed the top teams to take most of the leagues revenue and now instead of fixing that they want a Super League so those top teams can suck even more money out of the sport. The lack of awareness on why they’re not in as good of a position as the PL is astonishing to me. How do people this inept become presidents of anything.
It's honestly baffling to me how their isn't a bigger uproar on this issue right now... English clubs are quite literally outspending other leagues by a metric of 2x or even more in some cases. Even smaller clubs from England are able to spend 40M to get the players they want and these are clubs that no one knows about outside of England.
Premier League fans are very vocal and quite hostile towards the Saudi League for the same reason because they are doing the same thing PL has been doing to other European leagues in the past decade.
I get that EPL came to the top with honest work and I applaud them for it but there comes a time when the gap is getting so enormous that the authorities need to step in and rectify it before it's too late. Because if it continues like this then there is no need for a Champions League because clubs from the other European Leagues would be minnows compared to what English clubs can do.. at that point, it would be better to simply make PL the new UCL then because they would collectively have more talent than the rest of Europe....

I agree, but the PL fans are clearly not very open to SL. There has been numerous reports by English journalists on how the SL should be stopped before it starts getting younger talents from the PL so there is clearly very obvious concerns about it.
Spain and Italy, both took advantage of being at the top in their respective time. Italy was the best league in the world in the early 90s and Spain hit a peak during Ronaldo-Messi era. PL has hit it's peak too and is clearly attracting a wide range of talent right now. And good for them, but this time the gap is enormous, way more than it had been in the past, especially in terms of financial matters which is why it's concerning...
We should be looking at a UEFA wide transfer fee and salary caps, not decimating national leagues. Losing top teams, would relegate all of those leagues to the same viewership as the second division.
SL is also terrible news for away going fans that couldn't afford a trip like that every week.

Super league opposition is a English/UK thing. People survey backs this up. The English fans seem to have a hostile attitude to it reaching nearing 92-95%, which is absurd in today's world to have such uniformity on a partisan subjective thing.
Italy, Spanish opposition varies around 50-60% at Most. Meaning it's easier to shift for them because their fans are already ready in enough numbers.
For the English this is like Hitler & then some if the numbers are a sign.

The main proponents of the Super league aren't fans of Zaragoza, Cagliari, Reims, Werder Bremen or the like, they're fans of Madrid, Barca, Bayern and Juventus, aka big clubs whose hegemony at the top of the European game is being threatened by English clubs.
If there’s a relegation of 4 teams each year and a knock-out rounds with the rest of european teams I’m up for it. The bad press about the Super League was about being closed, but it’s not closed anymore iirc
and even spanish teams. Look at Real Sociedad in champions this year, Girona who are currently 1st, Sevilla/Betis/Athletic who are normally 4-6 in la liga and can definitely compete in Europe, Osasuna last year reaching the cup finals etc etc
It would be great for the Eredivisie. We will forever be in this perpetual no man's land without something like a Superleague. Dutch football fans being happy with having the smallest chance to escape the champions league group stages is just sad and I'd rather have the biggest, most corrupt and boring clubs join some superleague.
The Superleague is off course a joke, born out of greed and corruption, but let's not kid ourself; our current system has been ruined by greed and corruption already. Merit has no place in football anymore.
