After trying (and failing) to rescue an overwatered Echeveria plant from the supermarket, I sort of got addicted to succulents and went out and bought this one. I have no idea what Im doing but Im hoping starting with a healthy one will be a better introduction.

This and some other posts made me realize that I need to get more varieties with fuzz on them. They're quite adorable! Those look like some nice big healthy plants to start with for sure!

Maybe I'm wrong to assume that you refer to this plant as Echeveria as well (just like the other one sentenced todrowning by your supermarket) just want to mention this looks a Sempervivum to me. A rather pretty one too!

Last years I always had some around in pots, but this year is special in the sense some of them grew neat columns of themselves, others grew a bunch of children in ropes (latter one was the S. Arachnoideum type). It was quite a nice surprise for me.

Have fun with your succulents!

No I know this is a Sempervivum. I got this one at a plant nursery. Its actually an Arachnoideum too, like yours!

The plant I tried to revive was an Echeveria but that one died.

These need to be outdoors to be happy. They over winter in negative temperatures well too.

Good to know. Theyre under a growlamp right now but I could gradually move them outside. I would have to keep them under cover though as we get a lot of rain here most of the year.
