As an Arsenal fan, I think he’s so amazing, but I want him to stop. Please help

You’re telling me Pep or Klopp never had 3 months in a row where they were the best manager?

The whole media frenzy around Ange is so strange

[–] Daemor@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

How is it strange?

-Unbeaten in his first 10 games at the club. 8 wins 2 draws.

This is while:

-It is his first season in this league

-Our best player left the club

-We have a new club captain and integrated a new keeper, left back, center back, as well as a new attacking midfielder.

-Players such as Bissouma and Porro who didn't impress last season have made massive strides and become key players in the squad.

Why does it not deserve to be appreciated?

There are less managers receiving it from clubs further down the table this past few years it feels like, doing more with less vibes. Also seems winning the award back to back is way more common.

A quick look at this, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Premier_League_Manager_of_the_Month#Multiple_winners

It happened occasionally that a manager would win back to back in the 2000s but rarely, seems like around 2016 onwards its become much more common.

Its wild to me that Postecoglou now has the same amount or more awards as league winners like Conte and Mancini. Only 1 less than 3x league winner Mourinho. But also at the same time Arteta has 2 more than Mourinho!

He was the only manager that won all his games. There's no way to give it to someone else this moth.

And all it cost was our whole season being ruined, mate.

[–] rudeandrejected@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

you'll be surprised how little ange teams are dependent on 1 or 2 individuals

[–] Casual-Capybara@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Ruined in terms of a title run probably yeah, not in terms of getting CL.

[–] tkshow@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This award cost us Madders for some months.

[–] brayshizzle@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Love you daddy.

[–] TheBublizz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Arteta had a much better month

[–] kittycatfrank@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Tottenham won all of their matches, Arsenal did not. Pretty simple.

[–] Triikey@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Watch him win 10 of these awards and then Manager of the season being Pep. Classic.

[–] Flimsy-Relationship8@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Baffling that Pep hasn't won a manager of the month for 2 years now, his last was December 2021

[–] hambeurga@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

pep needs to win every game and other managers to not do well. he's expected to win every match

[–] nj813@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Not really. They tend to give them to managers who get suprise results or are overachieving, neither pep with the oil money is going to really do often

[–] WhiteMass@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The streak... Coninues...

[–] rekirts_motnahp@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Now it all make sense. What a fucking curse (cubed)

[–] NewTitle9528@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

[–] Far_Fisherman_7490@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

[–] kerbyage@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Time for the DVD

[–] branstarktreewizard@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If he wins the league with Spur, manager of the century

[–] MaximusFood@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

They beat Palace, Fulham, and Luton.

[–] randodna@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This Ange guy's pretty good

[–] BONKERS303@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Catch him do a celebratory hoon with a UTE in the parking lot, followed by a quick sesh of shrimp on the barbie cunt.

[–] CheesecakeAnalyst@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

On the back of a humiliation against Chelsea? Fucking stupid

[–] Rajawilco@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

You know we played them in November yeah?

[–] BlackPumas23@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Steady bruv

[–] damrider@alien.top 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

getting the first 3 manager of the months and at the end of it you're not top of the league. lmao. Ridiculous

[–] AvikHyp3@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

So if Bournemouth were 2nd in the table for three straight months, their manager wouldn't deserve the manager of the month award? That logic makes very little sense
