Kane's been a beast this season, great to see

[–] PsYcHoSeAn@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

And there's still no way they'd give him the Ballon d'or at the end of the season if he keeps this performance up because his name is not "Messi" or "Ronaldo"

Do I even have to say it? Just look at my flair and you know what I mean…

30 g/a and it's not even December. Kane really putting up prime messi numbers this season.

[–] YourCrosswordPuzzle@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Prime Messi would score 200 goals a season in the bundesliga.

[–] YepWillis@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What's Messi's record vs Bayern?

Defences don't exist in the bundesliga. Because Bayern play there people don't notice for some reason... but a few seasons ago rangers were pumping german teams in the europa league left right and centre, and they're shite

Going to Bayern is any striker’s dream. I always said Kane would score many goals there. People were crazy to think otherwise.

[–] SentientCheeseCake@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (6 children)

The number of downvotes I got for suggesting he would smash it was crazy.

It’s like people have this block in their brain where they can admit someone from a lower team is great, and they can admit someone from one of the traditional top clubs is great, but at the level of Spurs, being sort of in between it’s like we get overlooked.

Dembele was the best player in the league for a couple seasons, and even as people like KdB said he’s the best player he’d ever played with, everyone said Spurs were overhyping him.

It’s just happened repeatedly. Modric suddenly became world class. Same with Berba. It’s like literally taking off the Spurs shirt makes the player visible.

The only one I can remember that was properly rated was Bale and that was because you literally just gave him the ball and he put it in the net. Even when he came back to Spurs people under rated him even though he was BY FAR the highest goals/min in the league.

[–] brankoz11@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Fully agree Im pretty sure I got downvoted for saying Kane won't have to drop so deep and will be forward more and this will cause him to be an actual striker rather than an attacking mid.

I wasn't expecting him to go so crazy but thought he'd be a ton better statwise.

whose the top 5/10 in the PL?

[–] Advanced-Entrance334@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

2 of the top 3 are English, and they're still gonna win fuck all at the Euros.

Harry Kane had 15 G/A at this point last season, he has literally doubled his output. This just confirms how big of a difference the team surrounding you makes.

[–] mxinex@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (4 children)

And he isn't even properly integrated yet. Crazy.

Yeah but could this young german lad do it in the premier league? doubtful.

[–] brankoz11@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He's also had 3 hatricks already if I'm not mistaken? Putting up insane numbers. Crazy what happens when you have one of the best finishers in the box a lot more rather than coming deep constantly.

And he may still lose the Ballon D'Or to Jude even if he keeps this form up for the rest of the season.

[–] Gordondel@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Seeing Boniface up there as a Union fan brings tears to my eyes

[–] Vegemite_smorbrod@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Can't believe I was watching this guy in Eliteserien a bit over a year ago. He looked promising, but not 30 goals a season in a top 5 league promising.

Kane against Bundesliga defences should be illegal.

[–] biskutgoreng@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Well, can Harry Kane do it in the Premier League tho? /s

[–] el_walou@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yes the Bundesliga tax exists but in this case it’s a more a Bayern Munich tax.

An above average attacker would look elite at Bayern.

Kane already was an absolute monster, maybe the best 9 in the world. Of course he is gonna feast there

Doesn’t Kane have 35 g/a? According to Google at least, he has 9 g/a in the euro qualifiers, 20 in the Bundesliga, and 6 in the UCL. I don’t know if the euro qualifiers count though

[–] BornToExpand@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I always said Kane was being held down by spurs. Glad I wasn't wrong such an undervalued player, I think he's legit better than Pushaaland.

[–] Weekly_Finish1960@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If Kane joined Man City...

[–] gee___thanks@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

If Kane played for City and Haaland played for Spurs, the gap between them would have been crazy
