Feel like Southgate keeps including Henderson just to spite everyone who talks shit about him and says we need a new manager, because he’s definitely not doing it for footballing reasons.
Football / Soccer / Calcio / Futebol / Fußball
Who does he replace?
Saka is Saka and Bowen is 4th highest scorer in the league this season
May I be the first to BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO for Henderson?
Absolutely scandalous squad. Wilson went off injured!
Fingers crossed this means he's fine and Howe was just playing some mind games.
Maguire Phillips and Henderson 😴😴
Would have preferred some variety with no internationals for four months after this. Maybe the inclusion of Gordon and Palmer ahead of next summer. Still think Henderson's repeated selection is a disgrace.
While the rest will do them a world of good so in a sense I'm relieved. But Longstaff, Willock & Gordon have been robbed by pensioners in Saudi & bench warmers ffs.
What are we furious about this ti-nvm it's obviously Henderson
Literally no matter who he picks, people will be furious. It’s almost like people can have different perspectives and opinions. It’s weird and it makes me angry
No Palmer, but you know what? I am not gonna complain about it.
Is Palmer really playing that well? All the online hype around his recent stats is completely ignoring all his Chelsea goals have come from penalties.
No Anthony Gordon seems really harsh and I'm not even a Newcastle fan.
Glad he's getting rest tbh, he's looked dead on his feet the last couple games. If he keeps playing this well, his time will come
Usually, I'd be with you, but this time I'm thrilled. He desperately needs a break, looked wrecked against Dortmund.
I am outraged that [Insert name] wasn't included, he has been so good recently for [Insert midtable club]!
Tbf until recently Lewis Dunk and Brighton could have filled those gaps. I think his performances have justified that reaction.
It's such a myth that Southgate doesn't like calling up mid table players. Look how many Chelsea and Manchester United players are in the squad.
If you’re Anthony Gordon, Cole Palmer, James Ward Prowse and Sean Longstaff, you must be thinking "what the fuck do I have to do to get in this squad?"
Philips and Henderson ffs man hahah
Apart from JWP, there aren't really many other options. In my opinion, Gallagher isn't up to it either.
In reality, in the Euros we will play with Rice, Bellingham and one other so won't be too bad.
No Reece James god bless
I'd be surprised if anyone new comes into the squad for the euros. I can only see James, Shaw and Chilwell being included. Maybe Sterling if Rashford form persists.
I'd be livid if I was JWP or Gordon
Zero left backs, incredible
Jude has a dislocates shoulder leave him alone waistcoat man, you already qualified
Pleased for Johnstone but lack of Pope is baffling when Ramsdale isn’t playing regularly.

Defenders: Levi Colwill (Chelsea), Lewis Dunk (Brighton & Hove Albion), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Harry Maguire (Manchester United), Fikayo Tomori (AC Milan), Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United), Kyle Walker (Manchester City)
Midfielders: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Conor Gallagher (Chelsea), Jordan Henderson (Al-Ettifaq), Kalvin Phillips (Manchester City), Declan Rice (Arsenal)
Forwards: Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United) Phil Foden (Manchester City), Jack Grealish (Manchester City), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), James Maddison (Tottenham Hotspur), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), Callum Wilson (Newcastle United)

You can just copy-paste your rants from October lads, no changes
You'll need to CTRL F Maguire and replace it with Rashford though given their respective forms... funny how things change in football.
If you’re gonna play some who usually don’t get a chance can you at least mix it up with some of the usual starters.
Throwing 11 players in who’ve never played together isn’t really a fair representation of what they potentially could offer
30 million able bodied adult males to chose from and Henderson is still in the squad. SMH.
Curtis, Gomes,Gordon and Gibbs-white were all so good in the u21s euros and now they are not eligible for the youth teams. Isn't it sensible to give any of them a callup atleast against malta or north macedonia rather than calling up players with no gametime? Also Gordon is performing way better than rashford.
There's a theory Southgate wants to win EURO 2024 and then quit on a high so isn't doing any groundwork for beyond that.
But even if that was true, there are some older selections in the squad who aren't better than the younger players coming through in the here and now.
Jones is out injured until after the break anyway
Southgate is so unimaginative omydaysssss
Seeing as we've already qualified I think this would've been a good time to call up Ezri Konsa.
Who knows what the injury situation could be by next summer and it'd be a benefit to have a bit of experience, even if it's just training with the squad.
why does Pope never get called up anymore?
There’s zero incentive to get in form for Southgate world. I’m starting to think he doesn’t even watch games.
Doubt he'll play a weakened side for these with wanting to finish in the top seeds for pot 1 of the Euro 24 draw.
Can’t imagine being English and seeing Henderson as a legit regular call up. I know we called up Krychowiak from the same shithole, but we have 3 straight thinking midfielders at best. Having England’s talent pool and going for the captain of Al Ettifaq is just pathetic.
Praying that Trippier and Wilson play zero minutes. Both have been run into the ground the last few months, and need a break.
Hope fans keep booing Henderson
Henderson is in, baffling. Phillips is in, slightly less baffling but still odd. Dunk keeps his spot, all is right with the world.
I don’t even want Raheem Sitting in the squad because I think we have better alternatives in his position with the likes of Saka, Foden, Rashford & Grealish but I feel so bad for him. Kalvin Phillips & Harry Maguire still get picked for England even though their club form has been terrible or non existent for the last 2 years and the angle Southgate fans are using and I assume is Southgate’s thinking aswell is that they are his loyal soldiers, who’s done very well for him in the past and since the Euros is likely to be his last tournament, he wants to one last dance with his crew. The problem is that Sterling has been England’s best player for his entire tenure aside from Harry Kane and we all know how he powered England through the group stage at Euro 2020. How does he not get credit in the bank and get viewed by Southgate as one of his loyal soldiers when Kalvin Phillips and Harry Maguire get selected even though they barely play and are deemed surplus to requirements at club level ????
