Thank you! I was able to briefly live vicariously through your eyes! I’ve recently grown a great appreciation for the serenity of being outdoors—especially in mountainous wooded areas in my case.
Simple Living
This is a place to discuss simple living in all it's forms. Some may live a different life to you & that's okay, everyone is welcome here. Please keep it civil, we're all here for a good time.
All too often I take things out here for granted. This was a really nice reminder to stop and take it all in. "Smelling the roses" and what not.
Thanks for describing it so well. Let's us see it through your eyes and enjoy something that we don't see in the concrete jungle.
I wanna live like this. I work an IT job, basically everyday I'm yearning to go outside the city and get some fresh air. I don't want to be trapped in this concrete jungle.
When I read this post yesterday, I couldn't leave a comment because an elderly dog was taking a nap on my arm and I didn't want to disturb her. I had stuff I was supposed to be doing, but when she came over and nuzzled into my elbow I was not about to say no.
After reading this post I put the phone down and just watched her breathing for a while until she woke up. Was lovely.
And if you’re not, sometimes you just need to stop for a sec and look around to find them. They’re always there.
Indeed.
I try to enjoy any moment, even the less than perfect ones. For the last few day, I've been stuck at home with a broken bone but I focus on the time it gives me to read and to write more, to spend more time with my spouse and us being happy to be together. Naive, most certainly, but I will still take it after 25 years together ;)
