Sweden doesn’t fuck around when it comes to their Unions. They obliterated toys r us they’ll obliterate Tesla too

Don't fuck with Scandinavian worker rights. They WILL be protected and they DO have the power to eject a whole major corporation right out the country.

I thought Toys R Us was obliterated by private equity.

Take note US. This is how we handle shitty practices in scandinavia.

Imagine if someone tried to implement tipping culture here.

Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!

Unfortunately the US government already took note ages ago. Cross-Industry and general strikes are illegal in the USA.. This kinda thing can't happen here.

[–] erwan@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 year ago

Illegal actions can happen, and usually that's how it started in countries with laws that protect workers.

The government didn't nicely hand them over, workers had to fight for them.

And you guys just agree to take what they give you. Land of the amoebas.

If they want the CEO to listen, maybe they should tweet about it -I mean maybe they should X about it.

[–] vind@lemmy.world 37 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Elon would just respond to that with claims that Sweden is a Nazi country and suggest that Putin needs to invade for the good of the world

[–] pastermil@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah good luck with that.

He won't see their tweets (X's?) unless they pay for Twitter Blue (X Blue?)

I think it's called xipping. Instead of tweet you xip.

That sounds like a name furries would come up with to describe a sex act

Klarna tried to fight a unionization effort recently in every way they could, but at the end of the day they decided to bend the knee instead of dealing with the planned strike.

Things are going to work out similarly for Tesla if they want to stay in the country.
