I cant take good photos, and I know its not the most amazing watch in the world (although it is to me) but I had to tell someone. I am in love with it.

Seiko is a great choice for a first watch.
First mechanical watch I bought was a Seiko 5, 15 years ago, and it's still working perfectly.

I was between this and a Seiko 5 field watch. Couldn't resist the dial on this though.

I have a similar watch, I love the dial on it.

Congrats on your new expensive hobby.

Nice watch! But what is a proper watch?

Good point! My previous watches were a Casio f91w and a Casio eqw m1100. Both great but this feels way more grown up.

The dial details are amazing. Also love the second hand. Great choice.
