Ange might actually be the most likeable person in football.

Mourhino without the ego, but where would Mourhino be without his ego? Definitely not Mourhino

Neville “ Just don’t try to come him when you are playing against Barcelona 🤣 “

I genuinely curious if Ange was running this kind of 4-3-3 inverted FB system back in the Brisbane days.

That would have been right when Pep started managing Barca's first team and I'm honestly curious how much of the system Ange had developed as a young manager.

He was running a 433 with the usual overlapping full backs and had his wingers e.g. Thomas Broich cutting in heaps. He also tried a 433 false nine in the 2013-14 season with Marcos Flores for my club Melb Victory but stopped afterwards as it didn’t work out too well.

Brisbane Roar under Ange was glorious to watch. Never forget that GF vs Mariners.

My memory is a bit hazy because it was a while ago but didn’t troisi essentially play as a false 9 in 13-14? (the Flores year was actually 12-13, Ange’s first at victory) Ange left early in 13-14 but muscat essentially kept the same system that season. It was only the following season when we signed berisha that we ditched the false 9 thing altogether

You're right, was getting my seasons mixed up!

It's funny because Neville was absolutely terrible

Never get this stupidity so if a manager is doing well and plays with inverted fullback he is copying pep

[–] tigralfrosie@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Best post-game manager match-up for beers and craic? I reckon Postecoglou and Dyche.

[–] monehfish@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Look at those 2 posers cackling away at Anges jokes (I miss Ange dearly😪) -HH

[–] ConnectionFew5402@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Nice to see a manger almost as likeable as Klopp 🤣

As a Aussie Gooner from Melbourne my brain is scrambled by what's going on at Spurs. Out of all clubs he had to go there 😭
