Is there a self hosted free open source for SCCM that can run windows, macs and linux. Or even just for windows ill take anything at this point

Create a Nonprofit LLC. Then register your Microsoft account with that Non-Profit. Then you can use Entra ID/Intune App Deployment for free with the Free Business license (up to 200 users)

Sccm is too big. I don't think you'll find an all in one alternative.

Piecemeal is easy though. Wazuh for inventory. Chef or ansible for packages and desired state config.

Lots of pxe boot deployment options, including wds, which sccm pxe is built on.

Maybe tackle one feature at a time and pose your questions one at a time, so people doing pxe boot imaging can chime in on that specifically for example.

Great comments from u/carl2187. I would also recommend looking at Chocolatey for package management. It's good for those third party apps (Firefox, Chrome, etc) that can cause problems, especially if you're using them all the time. They have a community version which is free and it works well with r/ansible.
