hit the horn, not the head. use a long range bow like a phrenic or golden bow if you're having trouble
also the first part from every dragon will always be a scale, so maybe that's your issue?
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a videogame developed by Nintendo for the Switch and Wii U, published in 2017.
1. Stay Civil
This is a place for friendly discussion, memes, guides, art, gameplay questions, screenshots and the like. Discrimination and harrassment won't be tolerated.
2. Mark Spoilers
It is okay to post about "related games" (such as Age of Calamity and Tears of the Kingdom) but please use the spoiler "censor" and do not put spoilers directly into the title, as the censor doesn't work this way. Posts about other Zelda games might be suited better in general Zelda communities, like the ones listed at the bottom of the sidebar.
3. Offtopic Posts
Anything not related to BotW, like politics, religion, non-Zelda games etc. is better suited elsewhere and will be removed. The same goes for NSFW material.
4. No Advertisements
It is okay to post about merchandise, but links to those "design your own merch" sites will be removed, as those are almost always scams featuring stolen art. Affliate links will be removed as well. This isn't Etsy.
5. Provide Sources
If you're going to post art, comics, guides, screenshots etc. that are not your own OC, please mention the name of the original creator and ideally also a link to their portfolio/website. (Pinterest is almost never the original source)
6. Suggestions are Welcome!
Feedback, requests for improvements and constructive criticism are always appreciated ;)

Ah, could be that, I always reset after getting a scale
yeah the game intends to make it easier to get your first scale, as you need them for shrines at the respective goddess springs
I was getting so pissed musta done it for an hour before I quit to save my controller from flying
I don't know if this helps but I'll usually build a two fan bike, mixe some ekixrs ie heat frost and electricity. These will help keep you in air and avoiding hits from the dragon. I will also use the Yonubo sage. It allows me to get the harder parts like fang and claw Hope this helps. Lastly., when I need parts, I'll usually just fly from dragon to dragon to farm parts. I know their are faster ways but I am not in a hurry to end the game. I.E Controller Tossing. I understand this completely. This is the first game I've ever played where I tried to twist my somewhat expensive Switch controller in half. I am reminded of my rage spiral now every time I play it as it creaks. I feel badly about that. I have resigned myself to believe that this is a game that teaches lore, patience and the ability to access YouTube tutorials.
To fan bike? How far in breath of the wild do you have to be to get that?
My bad completely. Completely missed this is BoTW and not TotK!
Not to be rude or anything, but tears are the kingdom just came out and this is a breath of the wild forum so I'm confused as to why anybody thinks I'm talking about tears of the kingdom?
Yeah, this was my fault.
Again, I hope I wasn't coming off as rude.
No, not at all. It's my fault really, I wasn't paying attention to the header.
Just fly up onto one and run up and down bonking it like a xylophone. Then kick back, relax, and wait for the cooldown and do it again.
I tried landing on my one, but it didn't go so well. Any tips? Also I'm having trouble getting the one up on the mountain to appear, what the me does it show?
Is this BOTW or TOTK, I think you can only land on the dragons in TOTK (the sequel to BOTW).
Well, we're in the breath of the wild forum so... Take a guess
Haha, no need to be snarky. Just covering my basis cause you might have seen someone landing on a dragon somewhere online.
