I looked at the Bundesliga top scorers last night because I knew Kane had started well at Bayern, and he has, 9 goals in 8 games but above him was Serhou Guirassy with 14 goals in 8 games!

That's certainly one way to exclude Ronaldo and Messi

[–] long_shots7@alien.top 2 points 2 years ago

Why would they be included, they are both statpadding in an alternate universe making a truckload

[–] ShimeBD@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

did you want the title to be "top 10 scorers in 2023 (top 65 leagues included)

[–] Neither-Assignment16@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Right because saying top 5-10 leagues + saudi league and MLS would make complete sense!

[–] stayhighalltime@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Top10 European leagues?

[–] xaviernoodlebrain@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Kane above Haaland despite having played for an utterly shit Tottenham team? You love to see it.

[–] Pleasant_Skill2956@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I didn't know that also Gimenez had Italian origins

[–] JasonVoorhees3@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

How good is giminez? Never heard of him but he's young and banging them in.

[–] PositiveTransition94@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s good a true natural striker, definitely outgrown the Eredivisie

[–] moekie333@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He's good. But a bit overhyped. Great finishing. A bit of a tap in merchant though. His team feeds him a lot of chances. He lacks dribbling ability. Often gambles on blundering defenders and profits from that. He's not a very footballing striker, he just works well in Feyenoord's system because they just need someone to be at the right place at the right time. And he's been doing that very well. Might be an unpopular opinion though.

[–] ReXyngton@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Probably a good description of him. Because for the NT he can’t do shit because he doesn’t get the service from his wingers and midfield like in Feyernoord.

[–] SadPollution8260@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

he's like a Harry Cane, he needs good midfielders to help him

[–] Dreamscape42@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Any true forward needs a good midfield

[–] OnePieceAce@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Haaland has fallen off from his high standards since April

[–] sandbag-1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

And he's still 2 goals clear at the top of the Prem scorer list this season

[–] illnesz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Openda is moroccan? Wtf

[–] mikenasty@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Honestly so happy for Kane reaching his full potential with a killer team

[–] calmdragoon@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

top 10 leagues and no brazil?

[–] Linko_98@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Top 10 in Europe*

Brazilian serie a, Saudi pro league, Primera division and maybe MLS should be in top 10 leagues in the world.

[–] uranimuesbahd@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The Saudi league? Are you out of your mind? It doesn't even crack the top 30. That sports washing must be working overtime because it's actually making people believe in this sort of crap.

[–] Linko_98@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'm pretty sure if you put the Saudi best team right now against RB Salzburg, Celtic or Red Star the Saudi team is going to win, so yeah, top 10 in the world

[–] UnfinishedSentenc_96@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Not MLS for sure lol

[–] city_city_city@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Does this include NT goals?
