I've been doing this since November of 2022. I like finding natural fibers all over my yard and neighborhood so I realized making rope wasn't going to be the end all. My sister tried teaching me as a kid but seeing some of the amigurumi on Reddit made me want to try again. Hopefully soon I'll be able to start making my own yarn and dying them for projects. Eventually I'd like to either buy or make my own spinning wheel and make fabric on a loom.
Crochet
A place for all who enjoy the art of crochet
I've only been crocheting for about a month and a half at this point, but I've always wanted to get into it.
After my house fire, when I had nothing to do but sit in the motel room, I decided to take the plunge and learn it. Plus, we lost all my kitty's clothes and I couldn't afford to buy her any, but I could definitely make her some!
I'd like to say I'm really good at following directions. I don't think I've been doing it long enough to really be 'good' at anything yet ๐ I've been doing a decent job learning as I go. Also, I feel like I'm good at figuring out how to make things work how I want (how to make a big plushie from a tiny pattern or how to add or things)
I'd like to learn everything! My adhd makes me disinterested in just sitting down and studying every little thing, but I can learn whatever I need to for whatever project I choose. I've yet to make any clothes for humans or anything, but I'm excited for that
