  1. Keep it civil. We're all people here. Be respectful to one another.

  2. No sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia or any other flavor of bigotry. I should not need to explain this one.

This is the first time I've heard of the "Vampires cannot cross running water" rule

TIL

It's a very old 'rule' but it's not one that gets used terribly often. The same rule is occasionally applied to zombies, ghouls or various other undead. Personally it's one that I think is super cool.

Vampire attack? Pee on the floor in front of them.

Baba Yaga's moving house also can't cross running water.

How about Bubba Yaga's Moving House/ Evolved Redneck Tree?

I think that one got mixed up with another creature called the Dullahan. Aka the headless horseman. And the dullahan being restricted makes sense. If while crossing the river it hits a bump and drops its head in river it dies

Rivers and streams are traditionally regarded as borders. That would include border between the living world and the afterlife, so a lot of creatures associated with the dead supposedly cannot cross running water unless you make a bridge for them

fun fact: the reason walmart hires greeters is due to the plurality of their customers being vampires

Really explains People of Walmart, huh?

Watch the movie Once Bitten, Jim Carrey in obvious denial of creeping vampire development

I love this. It reminds me of the vine about the guy who didn't realize he was possessed by a demon.
