Take them to court, so ridiculous that an error like that can take place in the highest professional football league in the world.

[–] Lyoninyo@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

oh they are angry

[–] Scott_EFC@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

The thing that makes this totally unacceptable for me is after the initial mistake when the VAR team think the goal has been given, which is bad enough, is the fact they say nothing to the ref when Spurs are given a free kick and are not kicking off from the centre circle.

That obviously shows the goal hadn't been given, what were they doing? Clearly not looking at the screen. It's embarrassingly bad.

[–] BritMachine@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

We're going to war lads and I'm here for it

[–] izmebtw@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Brighton are gonna have a tough game on their hands. Those refs are gonna be nice as hell to Liverpool.

[–] FanofWhiskey@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

for fucks sake.

Everyone is acting like is akin to genocide.

LFC is not the first club nor the last club that will get fucked by VAR.

Move on.

[–] MayorOfOnions@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Are pool the softest team to ever exist? They have 1 (really) bad call go against them after years of preferential treatment and they do this. I'd be embarrassed.

[–] Comrade-Conrad-4@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Howard Webb is going to have to be in the VAR rooms every game lmao.

[–] SnooPies5622@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

But have they tried worrying about other stuff

[–] BeginningSurvey5165@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Replay the match…

[–] doubleoeck1234@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

So why when i posted this was it deleted for having a vague title even though it was the exact same and was posted 10 minutes earlier?

Fair play, a very strong statement. Unacceptable doesn't even begin to describe messing up a decision that straightforward.

[–] msmavisming@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Jeez. Get a grip.

[–] aleksandrovsqvist@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

How many more “significant human errors”? You should take your time to come to a concrete decision, that’s why VAR is there. Leagues can be lost due to these decisions

[–] TheNotoriousJN@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

They're escalating. Nice. Proper fighting words.

Im sure it'll come to nothing but more egregious bustups with the refs. But im glad we arent just meekly accepting it

[–] Correct_Influence450@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Here's hoping the league punishes Liverpool thoroughly for this embarrassing online petition. Mistakes have happened to many teams, and a point was no guarantee for them as they RIGHTFULLY went down two players due to their team members playing on the edge of professionalism.

[–] Comrade-Conrad-4@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Howard Webb is going to have to be in the VAR rooms every game lmao.

[–] scottishhistorian@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

If Liverpool loses the league by less than 3 points then there'll be lawsuits.

[–] chunt75@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Victim FC finally getting the short end of the VAR stick

[–] sinesnsnares@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I think this is the most I’ve ever been behind a rival club. Please escalate this as much as you can, until they get rid of all of that corrupt old boys club 🙏

[–] dewgtamingman@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Is there something I’m missing? It was a messed up decision with VAR involved. Happens all the time. Doesn’t make it better but what exactly is special about this one?

[–] andreew10@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Just release the audio, would be interesting to hear it and it's the least PGMOL can do at this point

[–] Stukya@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Im guessing the PGMOL didn't hand over the audio and studio camera recordings like LFC wanted.

EDIT:

That such failings have already been categorised as “significant human error” is also unacceptable.

LFC are saying its BS that you have released an excuse before you have conducted an investigation.

[–] OrganicWhine@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

all teams should support this.

[–] TheHouseOfStones@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This game in question is the most egregious robbery / worst officiated game I think I've seen since I started watching football in 2006. I didn't see that famous United vs Arsenal game but could it be the worst officiated game in PL history? Two nothing red cards and a legit goal taken away?

[–] NewHabitsWhoDis@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This could be a win for all PL clubs

[–] AJGibbo@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Not surprised. The idea of the VAR guys not correcting the referee when he didn't give the goal and then just saying 'it was a mistake' is straight bullshit. Sounds mental but if I wanted to screw a team over by not giving a goal, this is exactly how I'd have gone about it.

[–] Correct_Influence450@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Ref missed one call lol.

[–] itscalledvetomeeting@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This is embarrassing

[–] Ickx-14@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Yes lads! Go for them! The whole league needs this. Wish Merc were like this after the ‘human error’ farce in Abu Dhabi 2021.

[–] _ratty@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

The extent Liverpool is milking this is embarrassing. Yes this specific example is blatantly wrong but plenty of other teams have dropped points due to VAR.

But now that it's Klopp that's on the end of it we are never going to hear the end of it.

(Both the reds were valid as well btw).

Don't bother replying to me pool fans I'm notgoing to read it.

[–] ReddittIsDead@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

As a Chelsea fan, I am still pissed Mike Dean knowingly allowed a bad call to stand because correcting his dear friend Anthony Taylor who was the referee was not something he wanted to do. MF admitted this. So I am all with Liverpool in taking this incompetent and corrupt referring out to the cleaners. Fuck Taylor and fuck Mike Dean.

[–] dannylfcxox@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This is just gonna piss the refs off even more resulting us getting even less decisions lol. Although watching that spurs game and the Newcastle one where joelinton was given free reign to commit as many fouls as he wanted I'm not sure that's possible.

[–] Not_tlong@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Wolves been getting fucked over for years, and nothing. All of a sudden it hits Liverpool and serious changes need to be made? Ok pals…

[–] SJM_93@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Hoping other clubs get behind us on this, PGMOL boys club are ruining our sport.

[–] _justtheonce_@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

That such failings have already been categorised as “significant human error” is also unacceptable. Any and all outcomes should be established only by the review and with full transparency.

This does seem like they've had enough of simply being apologised to.

[–] Correct_Influence450@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

It wasn't awful all around. One call was missed, granted, but the sendings off were valid.

[–] itscalledvetomeeting@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This is embarrassing

[–] andreew10@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Just release the audio, would be interesting to hear it and it's the least PGMOL can do at this point

[–] TimBurtonSucks@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Hope they bring in the lawyers tbh. Only way to get something done

[–] TurboThot69@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

They didn’t draw the lines when Arsenal drew Brentford last season either. It’s time for VAR real-time transparency.

[–] usernamethatcounts@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

It was a failure, singular; the offside was the error. The cards were correct. There wasn’t failures. Just one huge error.

[–] bocojaLFC@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago
[–] sbsw66@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Thankfully those in the VAR room had a successful audition for the UAE League earlier in the week so they'll be OK even if they get fired in England

[–] snowkarl@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

In the meantime, we will explore the range of options available, given the clear need for escalation and resolution.

Fighting words lol

[–] f4r1s2@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

introduce challenge system or have both team provide a representative to be present in the VAR room
