Fuck the fascist nazis of lemmygrad.ml! Real socialists post memes right here on lemmy.world (:

[–] PugJesus@kbin.social 15 points 1 year ago

If there's one thing tankies can't stand (other than the slightest whiff of dissent), it's mockery.

Red scare still happening to this day, censor everything for the protection of our great capitalism!

[–] LemmysMum@lemmy.world 52 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Fuck capitalism.

Fuck neo-nazis dressing up in drag to play leftist too.

[–] jimmydoreisalefty@lemmus.org 6 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Neo-Nazis employ their ideology to promote hatred and racial supremacy (often white supremacy), to attack racial and ethnic minorities (often antisemitism and Islamophobia), and in some cases to create a fascist state.

Not sure what "left" or "right" mean anymore. I thought nazi would be on the right?

Either way this divides us instead of coming together as working class vs wealthy class.

Not sure what “left or “right” mean anymore.

Left stands for equality, right stands for hierarchy

[–] jimmydoreisalefty@lemmus.org 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That is in theory.

When you talk to actual people, I do not think they see it that way.

I still see it as a dividing mechanism that the wealthy class uses to divide the working class.

[–] abbotsbury@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well like it or not, some members of the working class want to perpetuate hierarchy, so it's a useful distinction.

[–] jimmydoreisalefty@lemmus.org 0 points 1 year ago

Yes, it is a distinction, jargon used in politics.

I still see it as a learning and teaching opportunity when you meet people like that.

Hard to change minds and you need to listen much more than talk, neutral stances as a start then as you are more of an acquaintance you can get into the nitty-gritty topics.

Thanks for pointing it out!

They like "spicy socialism", socialism + authoritarianism, bigotry is preferred.

[–] Zorque@kbin.social 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

National socialism has nothing to do with socialism. Its like North Korea calling themselves a democratic republic. Just play acting at being the good guys.

[–] LemmysMum@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They still like social services, but only for the Nazis.

[–] roguetrick@kbin.social 6 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

It's complicated and depends on who you're talking about. Classic Nazis prefer to ensure the workers are a productive exploited lot ala Henry Ford's idea of a utopia with the exploitive corporations tied heavily into the state, and the unproductive are to be shot.

[–] flicker@kbin.social 4 points 1 year ago

Henry Ford is one of my favorite examples of an American exceptionalist specifically because you can bankroll a story about American Exceptionalism straight into authoritarian asshole.

I get a lot of mileage out of him.

Not sure what "left" or "right" mean anymore.

As evidenced by your username I guess

[–] problematicPanther@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I think he means java the programming language, and not java the Indonesian geographical location.

[–] javasux@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I think you got your users mixed up haha

you are correct.

[–] jimmydoreisalefty@lemmus.org -3 points 1 year ago

Yeah, it is just used to divide.

Learning more and more everyday.

Main groups should be the working class vs. wealthy class.

[–] can@sh.itjust.works 19 points 1 year ago (3 children)

What if I hate capitalism and authoritarianism?

[–] Zorque@kbin.social 16 points 1 year ago

Theres no need to repeat yourself.

[–] jimmydoreisalefty@lemmus.org 7 points 1 year ago

I would say that is a good stance!

[–] sab@kbin.social 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Feel free to check out social democracy - it's socialism except that it has actually worked great on numerous occasions.

[–] Vermingot@jlai.lu 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Social democracy is still a capitalist ideology though, not the best recommendation to someone who said hates capitalism. I'd recommend Anarchism or Post-Marxism

[–] LemmysMum@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Only insofar as capitalism is the midpoint between feudalism and socialism. Democratic socialists are for allowing the majority to set the pace for moving towards that ideal so as to minimise societal disruption through rapid change.

[–] abbotsbury@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Idk maybe they meant Democratic Socialism

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

They didn't censor communists, they removed tankies.
