Para los hispanoparlantes, ¿Oyarzabal ha estado tan mal como lo he visto yo, o no? Me ha parecido un partido penoso.

Yeah we suck now. At least we were good at some point though.

Afaik the on screen graphic is from the producer which if Dale Johnson's guess is correct, then they would have gotten the wrong impression as well.

[–] kampiaorinis@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

In bigger stadiums yes, but I visited the Camp Nou and Anoeta (Reale Arena) the past year twice and they didn't show anything on the screen other than "VAR Check". Same in Cyprus where most stadiums don't even have a big screen.

It might be different in each country, but even then the stadiums announcer/producer is who is responsible for that.

There’s nothing like Brits crying after a game

Catalonia gave us a good game tonight.

Because the Scottish player shoves/touches the goalkeeper. It is very soft but I have seen fouls called for less.

In other words the level of the referee should be questioned. Not the call.

Is your best comeback mentioning how much more successful Spain is than Scotland? Come on

Nobody cares about rugby in Spain but it’s a big deal in Scotland, since it’s one of the 2 sports you’re decent at. We have tons of success in basketball, tennis, waterpolo, handball, football, etc that we decided to suck at something to make it more interesting for the others

[–] verycutebunny@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

because not also was it not even offside, it was not given for an offside, it was given specifically as a foul, the players were told by the referee it was a foul, the signal given by the referee was for a foul, the stadium screen itself said foul

And we like Portugal but that didn't stop you frim making East Portugal jokes for 180 minutes innit

[–] thor76@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I need a bit more Scottish salt to put it on their self inflicted wounds.

Again.

There's no whining like the British whining.

You had 24% percent possession and zero shots at goal close to the 70th minute but you have the nerve to claim you deserved something. How about you play some fuckin football first.

[–] agaminon22@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah calling us East Portugal like we somehow have beef with Portugal? Portugal is a cool country.

[–] EduinBrutus@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Why would they have to pay the referee?

Its clearly being done as a Uefa directive.

And its going to kill football. One of the stand out attractions of the sport is how the little guy has a genuine shot in almost every game. This is the complete opposite of most team sports which will pretty much always go to form.

[–] el_rompe_toyotas_19@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

So basically Scotland gets to put all of the blame of the game on the ref for ruling off an illegal goal

But if Rodri complains in the First Leg then he is a crybaby and bad loser

Cool

[–] el_rompe_toyotas_19@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

East Portugal: Hilarious joke

Northern England: Shite patter

Okay

Our team's not that good anymore, we won, it's the national holiday, we're happy. I understand that "happiness" has yet to be invented in the land where the sun doesn't rise, but that's no reason to be so mad about it.

[–] TheCescPistols@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Don't need spice when you've got gravy pal

[–] TheAngrySteward@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I can't believe all the Al-Andalus fans are this worked up about beating Scotland lol. You'd think they just beat Argentina. Behaving like sore losers even after winning a game. How embarassing.
