From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Ok I have problems with these cutoffs for ages. My wife is 57 (1967) and is very definitely a gen x’er.

I'm sorry. There are people who go to an adult hardcore porn site and then type in "Suitable for work"??? Like do you think the site wouldn't get flagged at your work?

HR: IT detected that you watch porn at work.

Employee: I’m not, it’s all SFW videos

HR: OK, no problem then.

Is anyone working at a FOSS and federated alternative to pornhub?

[–] FireIced@lemmy.super.ynh.fr 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)
[–] x00z@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

A single instance is not federated by itself. It requires multiple instances to be considered a federation.

Just a little nitpick.

[–] NikkiDimes@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Sounds like a legal and maintenance nightmare

The pornhub blog is surprisingly good reading every once in a while. They take their data analysis seriously.
