Regarding the political violence. I guess the Republicans formally supporting it meant "violence against elected officials and those who support them" which is A-OK when it's against the others but a big nono against their party. And in their eyes, unmarked agents abducting and kidnapping or other official forces going against anything they dislike isn't political violence, but legitimate use of force by the state; while any measures against them is tyrannical overreach.

If you're looking for consistency, I'm sorry, only hypocrisy here.
