No they haven't. The Palestinian genocide is a relatively recent western colonial project, started by Zionists in the early 20th century. The earlier history wasn't all sunshine and roses all the time but they weren't "killing each other" forever.
Islam was far more tolerant to other faiths than Christianity was, and it wasn't until the Nakba that Palestinians put up even a bit of (overdue and absolutely justified) resistance.
Why would Europeans care?
Because we have empathy and care about other human beings? I know this is tough for you to wrap around your neckbeard, but most of us humans have the ability to empathize with others
