Lovely warm day, the breeze was nice.๐Ÿ˜Š

I was very happy with myself for actually getting out of the office for a short stroll at lunch time, it was lovely outside!

I actually got out and did some gardening - it was so nice outside today

so today I found out that Give a Crap broke ties with Lauren Dubois for "Antisemitism" i.e: Calling what's happening in Palestine a genocidal humanitarian crisis. We have successfully politicised bum towels everyone.

Currently watching James May: Our Man In......Japan, Italy and India. This is not your typical travel show. He doesn't do tourist spots. He does the unusual and interesting places with lots of facts. It's on Prime if anyone is interested.

I watched a few episodes and came to the conclusion that as much as I like James May, he just doesn't have enough charm to carry an entire show by himself.

It's good how they avoided the main stuff and off the beaten path though.

I think he does alright. He's definitely a lot more relaxed in the Italy series.

[โ€“] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

He was trying too hard in the Japan one. It almost seemed like it wasn't 'him'.

Maybe i'll try the rest of the series.

Youtube Music suggested an artist called Phyllomedusa to me this morning. At first I was skeptical it was AI as he's put out 6 albums this year alone. He's on Encyclopedia Metallium and has been at it since 2007, consistently putting out multiple albums a year in the 'froggrind' genre, of which I think he's the only member.

It was alright, snare was a little pingy. It makes you feel like you're doing something right if the algorithm recommends something so weird to you. Better than all the regular artists they push on you.

[โ€“] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

โ€˜froggrindโ€™

That's definitely a term right there

[โ€“] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

There's a real frog and nature theme running through his work. I wonder if he's like a biologist or something and just makes harsh noise goregrind on the side

[โ€“] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 2 points 4 days ago

I wouldn't be surprised. Field biology can get a bit boring I assume. Might as well record shit to pass the time.

Edit: You know I should have just harvested the pumpkins while they were various colours in order to paint a picture of them. Sleepless thoughts.
