Every time I say, "there hasn't been a NMS update in a little bit" Sean skeets within a week.
It won't be long before we get a bacon cowboy.
Most of the features we've been getting, like fishing, are ported from Light No Fire. So it would make sense for this to be some sort of cooking update, like cooking meat from fish and fauna. I don't know how I would feel if they introduced a requirement to eat in NMS, but if they don't add some sort of requirement, it feels very unnecessary.
I hope it's something cryptic like whale = Leviathan, I don't really care for worrying about food in an interstellar simulation where we can convert plants directly into atomic carbon and casually build homes in hostile environments that make Venus look like a tropical resort.
There already is a way to eat, it is not a requirement. But there is an upgrade you can add to your suit, you then can put different cooked items into it for different bonuses.
Yeah. I wonder if that's in preparation for requiring you to eat.
