This seems like it's a less-than-positive development for running AI on consumer-grade hardware.

So for 4 years we couldn't get graphics cards for gaming because of crypto mining.. Now when that situation is finally starting to slowly improve they're saying we won't be able to get gaming cards because of AI.. sigh

I mean I think it's fun to run some local AI models, but gaming is still the primary reason I'm spending €1000 on a computer component.
