If only we had some sort of deal with Iran to monitor there nuclear program and make sure they can't make a nuke in exchange for sanctions relief or something...

Yeah I mean it's like Libya Vs North Korea. Gadaffi gave up his weapons of mass destruction and ended up sodomised with a sword in a Western backed regime change.

North Korea has nukes and gets the kid gloves treatment.

My guess is Iran would prefer the North Korea path.

Ukraine gave up nukes in direct exchange of US & USSR/Russian guarantees of independance and is in the middle of getting royally fucked by both sides.

Why would any Iranian government with half a brain give up nukes? They work!

Oh I hope this is true. I’m no fan of the Iranian government, but for the safety of their people and stability in the region, they should have nukes.

The US gave their puppet government nuclear power and it got taken back and now they’re scared of it. Dumb.

Why they did not the same about usa wanting to give a nuclear program to saudis?

RFE/RL specifically? Because they're a US mouthpiece.

I mean, given how the US and Israel are acting right now, it does seem like a good idea to have something that guarantees your national sovereignty. Low key convinced that orangeboi will take us back to the Middle East - Iran Edition at some point, as a distraction
